Expect to use my internet connection and drive them everywhere. They have £ ssss for alcohol and gambling.
I will try my best to help out those who need but feel I'm being taken for a mug.
All logins changed now, thanks to youngest son.
So hacked off.

I think more context is needed

vodkaredbullgirl · 27/08/2023 21:06

Just stop letting them.

CyberCritical · 27/08/2023 21:09

Why did you ever let them have access to your internet or drive them everywhere?

I'm on good terms with my next door neighbour, but wouldn't ask for either of those unless it was a dire emergency.

Cinnamongirlinthesand · 27/08/2023 21:19

Because I'm (was) a soft touch. Felt sorry for female neighbour, her partner is a complete knob, for want of a better description.I've always been on good terms with previous neighbours but this is too much.

They’re expecting it because you’ve always offered to do it. For some reason.

Aquamarine1029 · 27/08/2023 21:34

Time to toughen up, op. You're not their doormat and you're not a charity. These people are users so stop enabling them. Time to phase them out.

GrannyWeatherwaxsHatpin · 27/08/2023 21:49

I think you’ve got my old neighbours. I started off helping them because I felt conscious of my advantages in life compared to them but I quickly learned that they’d have their hand out forever more. At one point the fuckers even tried to tap me for money.

Find a reason to say no and stick to it. Some people are just bloody chancers and they have the hide of a rhino (and absolutely no shame) so you have to be as tough as they are.
