To ask about Merlin Ride Access Passes

When the parks are really busy, is there a maximum number of RAP users that they will allow before opening to the main queue (E.g. 50% of ride capacity)? Just genuinely interested as RAP users have already virtually queued. Going soon with a friends that has a RAP and wondering if we should still try to pick a quieter day. As both queues seem super busy on the days I’ve been recently.

I don’t have any advice on this as I don’t have an rap pass but if no one comments and you or your friend have fb there’s a brilliant group called “Children DLA days out discounts tips and advice” that cover this and I think they’ve just changed the rules around the RAP pass at merlin theme parks. I will have a look and see if I can find the post

By the looks of it there’s no minimum or maximum amount of RAP riders, it just can mean that the wait time is longer for the ride for everyone. Schools do go back week after next if you don’t mind waiting until then, it will probably be busy now because of that.

Are you asking whether they'll let all RAP on before letting main queue people on no matter how many RAP there are? No, they don't do that, they seem to have a pre- determined number of RAP users they let on, then they let on the ordinary queue.

So you might still have to queue. If it's an app system not a piece of paper system, ask the attendant to scan your QR code for the ride you're waiting for while you're queuing, so you can start virtually queuing for your next ride while physically queuing in the RAP queue for your current ride (IYSWIM). Disclaimer- I've only used DDs RAP at Legoland and Chessington so other parks might be different.

They only let a few rap users on per a ride so the rap queue can sometimes be quite long in itself. Also you are timed out virtually as well so yes overall your queuing time can be a lot longer.

I wouldn't now go on a busy day. We did when we had passes as we'd accept we'd only do a handful of rides or look at animals/other stuff.
