I’m currently on the train from London to Sheffield.
Let me start the story - sat on the train at the station, I think ‘great I’m in the clear’ as 2 mins before the train left, the seat next to me is still empty…alas my dreams were all too soon shattered.

I end up with the most entitled posh boy (for context he talks like bo jo) sitting next to me, who first of all grabs my attention due to the most huffing I have ever heard from another human (and I have a huffy grandparent!). After 15 mins of frantically trying to sort his laptop and tap-tapping away while repeatedly exhaling what sounds like all of the air in his lungs that’s ever entered it.

I only ever have one headphone in & I’m nosey and I proceeded to hear the convo between him and his gf…
turns out he is throwing his toys out of the pram due to his gf getting a new graduate job today. Instead of telling her how proud he is, he has proceeded to frantically search for head jobs on indeed and to be pissy at his gf for “earning twice what I do. I can’t have that. It’s so embarrassing.”
I wanted to push him out of his seat there and then.
The gf then took his laptop and sent a letter to the recruitment agency that she used to get her grad job. YOU ARE NOT HIS MOTHER! TELL HIM TO FUCK OFF.
*to follow up the mother thing, his mummy did then call him to find out what the matter was. “I’ve applied for over 20 jobs today. I’m so very tired” Again sir, fuck off.

He got mad at her again on the train and brought up the fact she will earn more than he will. She kept telling him that she’ll get taxed and it won’t be that much. You can do it too etc

Babe, he should be celebrating you. If he isn’t just elated at you doing well, tell him to get fucked.
Now they’re sitting together and being all over each other and I feel sad that she’s not appreciated the way she should be.

If you’re the redhead on the train, I’m manifesting someone better for you and celebrates you.

Love the nosey millennial girl on the train
xo

p.s I also haven’t posted on here before..so I think accidentally posted this on another thread first! Sorry 😅

And retrospectively - in the same spirit. To the young man being spoken to as if a slave by his sarcastic and entitled boyfriend: get a better boyfriend! From the middle aged lady glaring across at you both in what I really hope you realised was only disapproval at one of you.

Ooh love a good train earwig! I had a terrible one where I was sitting with a group of mums who were on a jolly to London. Then one brought up to another mum that her Dd was bullying her dd. I sat there willing her to shut up. Utter car crash. What was she thinking?!
