Why do parents do this

In the past year there have been 3 separate instances with 2 of my children in which the other children have been bullying, threatening and general horrible behavior.

These 3 instances have been witnessed by teachers and other classmates with clear proof. One of them was because my child was/is excelling in something within school and was mocked mercilessly, another was a group of boys ganging up on my daughter because she called one of them cute.

What i fail to understand is this, why when parents are informed, with proof, they make excuses, they deny it, try to find other seemingly non related issues and bring them up.

Its absolutely infuriating me that these parents are so unbelievably biased and cant fathom their little darling every doing anything.

Is this just standard now.

It’s because if you admit your child has done something wrong you have to deal with it and try to improve their behaviour. If you deny it you can blame everyone else and do not have to actually parent your child, which may well be the cause of the problem anyway.
