DFS Lexia sofa - anyone got one?

I’m thinking of getting the Lexia corner sofa. It feels nice and firm, is the right size and height etc. Has anyone got any of the sofas in this range? Is it wearing ok and are the seats keeping their firmness? Mine won’t get a lot of hard treatment - no kids, pets and it will be mainly just me using it apart from when I’ve got people round. I can’t find anything online about it being treated for stain resistance ? Any opinions very much appreciated

just bumping this up because I posted it late last night, just in case anyone sees it who has a sofa in this range.

We don't have a Lexia sofa, but I do know (having just purchased a DFS sofa) that they offer a stain resistant treatment on many of their sofas. It does cost extra though.

People are often snippy about DFS sofas, but I’m fine with ours. It’s a corner sofa, but not the Lexia. We paid for the stain resistant treatment and I think that’s worthwhile.

Looking at the Lexia, it does seem as though the legs are very thin and will mark carpet or flooring. I wonder if they suggest anything to mitigate that?

Yes, I have the Lexia. I got the lightest colour, and in hindsight, it's probably too pale as the armrests get dirty quickly. It's also not very comfy. I'm used to it now, but you can never get fully comfortable with it. I will be getting a new one soon, even though it has only been three years since I got it.

It does look good, and it holds its shape well.

Thanks so much. That’s all good to know. I was wondering if they offered stain protection. Ill get it for sure. I love the cream one but I’m really clumsy so I don’t see that ending well even with stain stuff on. I didn’t think of the thin legs. Yes they do look spindly. I’m going to their nearest store soon so I’ll ask if they have any idea how to protect the floor. And I’ll have a good long sit on it. I like that the height from the floor is higher than mine and a lot I’ve been looking at, as some of us have dodgy backs, knees, hips now. My sofa is causing problems for some friends to get up from.

I've just bought two sofas from DFS with the stain protector.
I also bought the stain remover kit £35 (I thought it was free!)
It's great for treating any accidents, you get three sprays for different levels of staining and a cloth.
Also, the guarantee is if it gets highly stained they'll come out and treat it or recover it, it also covers any structural damage.
Also ask in the shop if you can change the legs to sturdier ones, they make the sofa's to order.
I also paid £50 for gliders that don't ruin your flooring and when you're not sitting on them and want to move them for cleaning they glide easily.
You can buy the gliders in eBay for a fraction of the price

Campervangirl. Thank you. That’s really helpful. I’ll definitely ask if the legs can be changed and get gliders and the stain removing kit. Well, depending on what colour I choose. I like the oatmeal but my carpet isn’t far off the same colour so it my room might look like a block of fudge

Hi did you end up getting the Lexia sofa? If so what are your thoughts I’m looking to purchase too
thanks

Yoghurtpotsatdawn · 25/01/2024 00:28

Cham123 Sorry I didn’t see your message till just now, Yes I did get it. In the charcoal grey and love it. Really spacious and comfy. Obviously it’s way too early to say how it’s going to wear. The only thing I had an issue with was the very strong smell of foam it emits. I can still smell it now nearly 4 months on. Much less noticeable than it was, but there nevertheless. Until a month ago my clothes smelled of foam after sitting on it.
