To not have a fun fact about me?

I’ve just started a new job and they want me to do me to do introductory video for our newsletter.

They want me to add in a fun fact but I don’t have anything!

Make something up - most people do!

I hate those kind of things!

I just make stuff up, like 'When I was 5 I wanted to be an zookeeper' or 'I once met Annika Rice'

I fucking hate those "tell me something fun about you!".questions.

I wouldnt know what to say either. I'd just put N/A so they had to leave that out of their article.

But I'm a private person who doesn't like work colleagues knowing all my ins and outs.

God, I hate that! Just make something up. Google “fun facts about me” and pick something you are comfortable with - I am a pro at building IKEA furniture 🤣

Do you have a favourite book/author, or rewatch a TV show, star trek etc? Are you looking forward to David Tennant being the Doctor again? Garden? There must be something.

My life is bloody boring too 🤣 all I do is look after kids foods shop and work!

My fun fact has been that I don't have one. You'll find your people that way.

either of those would work and you put anything down, true or not.

No-one can call you out on it. It creates no expectations for the adult you (as long as you don't put anything way too wacky!)

We had to do this during a training course - was put on the spot.

I just said, “I’m antisocial.”

My fun fact is that I once won a karaoke competition in a pub in Ballymena by singing Jolene by Dolly Parton. You can have that one if you like.

Only last night I watched a scene in Painkiller where a group of employees are being asked for their fun facts, and I thought “shit, I’d have no fun fact in this situation” and I felt mildly panicked. But then the coolest woman in the group gave an absolute death stare and slowly said “I’ve no fun fact”. Be that woman 😂

Make something random up. Say you can do a back tuck on the trampoline. Or you once broke a bone falling off stilts. Or you own 42 pairs of pyjamas

Fun facts don’t actually need to be fun- “I don’t like cheese” for example, is very boring, but would absolutely be accepted as a fun fact…

God I hate this sort of crap. I think it should be banned from the workplace.

What about 'my fun fact is that I think introductory videos that must include 'fun facts' should be made illegal'. I'm sure a lot of people will be in agreement.

i have one fun fact. i have used my fun fact when asked every time since 2015 when it happened. i will probably continue to use it until i retire. everyone has heard it by now. i don’t care.

I agree. I always ask to be excused and have yet to be told I have to.

If I had to do it if make something up.

Just make one up or put something generic. Mine would be “I have two dogs and I love dogs!” It’s true but generic and not too personal.

I had no idea people make stuff up for this!! Oh man. I've been telling the truth all this time. And nothing massively 'fun'.
