Kids screaming and shouting until 9pm every night

Another evening where I just want to sit quietly at home and watch aTV but it just seems to be acceptable for kids to scream and shout for hours and until 9pm whilst parents totally ignore it. We are talking 5/6/7 year olds.

I have 4 kids myself and if they got too loud then they were told to calm it down and if they didn't, they were taken inside. The irony is I have 4 autistic children including a 7 year old who just wants to sleep but is struggling with the screaming.

I am neurodiverse and I do have issues with screaming anyway but I really think it's antisocial towards your neighbours. I wouldn't dream of subjecting other people to it.

I agree, but sadly you will be getting the usual replies children need to play etc. Yes they do, but they don’t need to constantly do ear splitting screaming.

Unfortunately, living in close proximity to others means the wide definitions of acceptable behaviour can move quite far from your own ideals. It wouldn't be my favourite thing, but can you focus on solutions like connecting noise cancelling headphones to your TV?
