I go out on the town tomorrow with some girl mates???
The kids were meant to be going away for one night, just tonight and DH and i are off to cinema and meal which im really looking forward to BUT MIL just informed me she wants to keep them for another night as she doesnt get to have them very often. I know Dh wont want to go out again and he wont mind me going out at all but do you think i should stay in and watch a boring DVD with him OR go out on town which i havent done since way before christmas!!???????????????

no contest. Out on the town. You're doing devoted wife tonight, so no excuses, especially if everyone's happy with the idea!

LMAO i know but part of me thinks that MIL is keeping kids cos DH and I do need to spend some time together BUT we are out tonight and i cant spend 2 nights doing couple stuff especially as he has been on hols from work this week and has been under my feet!!! We wouldnt go out a second night in a row and i fancy getting hammered seeing as i can sleep it off on mothers day!! Dh is tee total so wouldnt come out on town with me in a million years!

Your dh will also enjoy having the house to himself for a change, so really you are doing him a favor by going out.

Go out with your mates on the town. Get drunk and have a lovely time.

YABU if you look a gift horse in the mouth.

go out, make the most of the precious time when you don't have to worry about childcare, etc...

thanks guys. Asked Dh when he got home and he was not impressed! This must be the first time he has ever been a bit miffed that i want to go out! Have got round him though and have had to promise to make it worth his while when i get home!
