Neighbours arguing getting me down

I know I am being unreasonable as its nothing to do with me, but it is starting to effect us by my children getting woken up and having to witness things they shouldn't. I just need somewhere to vent as in real life they are well known and don't want to bring trouble to my own front door.

My neighbours moved in around 4 years ago. The cul de sac used to be lovely and quiet. However since lockdown started there has been a pattern. So for 3 years now they have blazing rows which end up on the street. The last 6 months however it has gotten alot worse. Doors (internal and external) being smashed, windows smashed, cars smashed etc. This is from partner and son. The language they use is foul and even the rows inside can be heard through the walls. Police have even been involved the last few times.

We were all woken up last night at 3am to the man throwing bricks and putting the windows through again. I just want the nice quiet cul de sac back. But I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

Do they rent - if so follow up with letting agents/council or whoever is appropriate.

call the police every time as they are also disturbing the peace etc.

contact the council and local MP?

Police

They do rent. Its a council property.

I am going to start phoning the police everything. He's gone now but will be back in the next 2/3 weeks and it will all start again

We had this, the house is rented by another Borough as emergency housing, but my local councillor found me the direct number for the other borough's housing officer. So I contacted him every time, as did the other neighbours. Last weekend, they were moved. I can now sleep. So if they rent, keep at it. Good luck.

So in that case, I'd contact the housing team every time and log with the police so you have a reference number. Keep a log of everything.

Well he's back again! I give it until the end of october before it's happening again. Thank you for the advice. Next time I shall ring the police and log it with the housing association because unfortunately there will definitely be a next time.
