To go out after being off work?

Been off work for 4 days with tonsillitis. Today is the first day I've woken up and feel 90% better after being in bed feeling like death.
It's my best friends birthday tonight at a pub and I wasn't going because I wasn't well, but my fever has gone and I feel so much better. Do I still go out tonight and drive or do I stay home? Feel bad if I go because of work, but also not sure I can stay at home any longer or I will go insane!

Well it's the weekend and if you go back to work Monday then I don't see the big deal.

If you are well enough to attend a Party which requires a drive, surely you are fit enough for work? If you aren't well enough for work because of a physical illness surely you are not feeling well enough to attend a party. Which one is it?

I will definitely be returning to work Monday no doubt about that. Just feel guilty that it's atypical I feel better on the weekend when I've spent most of the week off at work.

Should you be in work today? If so go to work then go to the party, if you don't work weekends anyway it doesn't matter, you were unwell on your working days and are now feeling better

No I only work Monday-Friday.

I would wait and see what I felt like later on today. You may feel fine now, in the morning, but be flagging by teatime if you are not completely recovered.

Assuming I felt up to it tonight, I would probably go, but only for an hour or so. It's not a great look to have been off ill all week then out partying till late on Saturday night. It could be misconstrued.

Meh, your not contagious. head out if your up to it. But from a relatively frequent tonsillitis sufferer, you might well find you font last long when you get there.

And very different going out with friends than going work. Out with friends you can come home when needed and sit quietly in the corner if you find its a bit much.

At work you have to be there from beginning to end and a certain standard of work you have to meet
