Something a bit lighthearted - ironing

Over time I've noticed a great many posts suggest taking in ironing as a way to make a bit of extra cash.
Has anyone actually ever done this and was it a success?
I'm seriously unhappy at work and actually love ironing (I know weird).
I'm a bit of a slow ironer though - does anyone know if it can work?

Sorry to post when the horrific news about Lucy Letby is here, I'm horrified and need something else to take my mind off it.

AIBU?

I haven't personally but someone I know did. It didn't last very long. She posted on Facebook asking everyone to support her by using her ironing service, but she lived 20 minutes drive away from me, by the time I'd driven there and back I could have just done it myself.

Thank you for replying. I was thinking of offering a pick up and drop off service within 3 mile radius. I'm on the edge of a big city and in a fairly affluent area (not me though - sadly).

You could do but I’m just not sure many people would bother tbh. Lots of people don’t even iron these days. I know I look for clothes that don’t need it, it’s a huge time saver just doing that. Cleaning services might do better

Near my parents house there is an ironing shop...and its very busy! It is commuter belt and there's a lot of shirts... (my parents send their sheets and I drop off sometimes)
