So….
life enhancers ( apart from cleaners ) that have genuinely improved your life on a weekly / monthly basis

but nothing related to children as they are all older …. Thank you

my offering is …a massage once a month and cooking pre made lasagne

Eye brow tinting on a rolling appointment. Makes me look more human, and I’m not realising I need to book it then waiting for an appointment.

LongTermLurker · 18/08/2023 07:24

Ashwagandha supplements. Feel more relaxed, sleep better, and more confident since taking it.

lovewoola · 18/08/2023 08:21

food delivery services. I hate meal planning & food shopping.

lovewoola · 18/08/2023 08:21

just realised that's over budget!

GagaBinks · 18/08/2023 08:26

A Hive lightbulb in my bedroom linked to a Google Nest so I can turn it off and on via either talking to it or using my phone. Much better than getting out of bed!

Toptipsneeded · 18/08/2023 08:48

Oh these are great ! So varied 🥰

A massage would be at least £45 here and often more.

Iron tablets
My medication - probably on to for life, but well worth the monthly prescription fee
A cheapish fountain pen (Lamy Safari here) - makes writing boring things like shopping lists nicer
Portable bluetooth speaker - mine is the Juice brand - plus Spotify subscription

declutteringmymind · 18/08/2023 08:55

Gousto. It's about £25 a week more expensive I reckon.

Or

Cleaner

Or right now half a day in holiday club for my 2!

anything that buys me time I guess

devuskums · 18/08/2023 09:02

I second the light controlled by the phone. I also have a Tapo smart plug that lets me start my fan by saying Alexa will you start the fan please! Its been a month now and it still amuses me every time. (I've been pretty much bed bound after an op so the days are looonnng 🤣🤣)

Thermos branded travel mug (have tried trendier brands) - literally keeps your drink hot all day - I can't live without it for work days.

FizzyFucker · 18/08/2023 09:05

Where do you live that a massage is £25!?

I will move there immediately

MiddleParking · 18/08/2023 09:07

Any minor kitchen things you use all the time. Good graters, chopping boards etc.

DIY keratin blow dries.

KvotheTheBloodless · 18/08/2023 09:07

Cleaner, gardener.

Iron tablets.

Collagen and omega 3 supplements.

Tretinoin via Dermatica, and lash lift/dye mean I don't need make-up which is a great time saver.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 18/08/2023 09:10

Yes to kitchen things -
Denby pasta bowls (TK Maxx)
Le Creuset baking trays (bought when on offer)
Le Creuset spatula

DRS1970 · 18/08/2023 09:11

I would name my cordless stick vacuum cleaner. So liberating and time saving not wrestling with hoses and cables, and saves oodles of time too.

Belshels · 18/08/2023 09:11

@MiddleParking how do you do a DIY Keratin blow dry? I need this!!

I get them from Amazon - the (cheap) brand I use is Kativa but there are lots similar. It takes a very long time but it’s worth it for the cost saving and for not having to spend hours straightening my - naturally fairly terrible - hair. Blast dry, quick tidy and go.

Thelnebriati · 18/08/2023 09:21

I have some favourite perfume oils and put a drop on my pillow each night. I started doing it to help manage night terrors, when I used to dread going to bed.
I've also got a warm coloured rechargeable lamp next to my bed, it makes the room look cosy. I can turn the main light off and carry it to my bed, and I can use it if I need the loo in the night.

Belshels · 18/08/2023 09:22

Brilliant thank you !! @MiddleParking

CheersToMe · 18/08/2023 09:22

My window cleaner every 6 weeks or so.

Fiftysixthnamechange · 18/08/2023 09:25

Bought a gel nail kit to do my own manicures, saving £35 every 3 weeks, plus I find it incredibly relaxing and mindful after a hectic work day.

Coldheadedathos · 18/08/2023 09:26

Wireless ear buds. I have Anker sound pro from Amazon. Any job feels less like work while listening to an audio book.

Twazique · 18/08/2023 10:17

Audible - (you can get audio books also from the library) I love it.

Really nice slippers. I am on the hunt for some new ones.

AgentJohnson · 18/08/2023 10:23

Google assistent, smart bulbs (Hue and IKEA), cat food and cat litter on subscription from Amazon.

BodegaSushi · 18/08/2023 12:30

£65 here for a massage 😭 but will be making an effort to go monthly, I really need it
