Piercing infection?

I’m pretty sure my new ear lobe piercing is infected. It’s so sore and feels a bit irritated. I think it’s bleeding slightly. I’ve cleaned it with saline piercing after care spray 3x a day so I don’t know what’s happened. The back of the earring does feel a bit tight against the back of my ear lobe though and I do have thick ear lobes but the piercing place said it’s fine

I'd put a sleeper in it made from solid silver or gold, to reduce any irritation

thank you do you think it would be ok to change the jewellery after having the piercing for a week? I think I’m allergic to it maybe

As well as the saline solution, use boiled salt water (cooled down to what is comfortable!) on a cotton pad as a warm compress every frw hours - will reduce the pain a bit.

If your lobe is swollen and the back is digging in (and you can't switch for a sleeper as above), removing the back for a while might give some relief.

Was it a gun or needle piercing? A bit of blood is pretty common so wouldn't worry too much about that!

Don't change it yourself after a week! You'll never get a new one in, especially a ring.

Does it have a butterfly back you can loosen?

Why not just go back to the piercer and ask them? They should be able to look at it for you and swap the jewellery for something more suitable - perhaps a longer bar or a ring.
