DH and I have been invited to his friends Barbie party. DH and another male friend have thought it would be great fun if they each dressed up as Barbie and the wives as Ken.

So DH is now trying to force me to go as Ken. This includes me buying a new mens outfit as he is going to borrow my dress. I don't wan to go as Ken. I want to be Barbie!

Honestly, if I could be Mojo Dojo Casa Ken with the furry coat and two pairs of shades, I’d happily go as Ken.

Reminds me of a “Tarts and Vicars” party I & my husband attended back in the 1970’s. Most of the women myself included, dressed as vicars and most of the guys including my husband dressed as tarts and they did it very well😳. It was great fun & an absolute hoot. Oh! and the music theme was heavy and progressive rock.

I find this truly ironic as Barbie is synonymous with women "doing it for themselves" and yet here is a man telling you what to wear to a Barbie party.
