DH and I have been invited to his friends Barbie party. DH and another male friend have thought it would be great fun if they each dressed up as Barbie and the wives as Ken.

So DH is now trying to force me to go as Ken. This includes me buying a new mens outfit as he is going to borrow my dress. I don't wan to go as Ken. I want to be Barbie!

LTB obviously! (Lose the Barbie.)

Go as Ken but be a parody of your husband and whatever behaviour he does that drives you nuts should be exhibited all evening. This could include nut scratching, belching and obnoxiously loud discussion of whichever vehicle is car of the month.

A barbie party is going to have everyone else dressed as barbie and Ken which is a bit boring, whereas I think going as the opposite sex is the best idea ever!!

Surely you get to dress as barbie on any night out but there’s only certain times when you can dress like the opposite sex (and see your DP do the same).
