To expect our best man not to wear jeans

We are getting married in June and have got a prob with wedding attire for best man. He is size 52inch chest btw - we are having an informal wedding although I will be in wedding dress and dp will get linen suit of some sort, chief bridesmaid has got dress but its the best man who seems to think he can wear jeans, dp says let him wear what he wants and I think I may have said this way way back when decisions were made re-best man/woman but I really did not think it would come to this. He wants to wear a jacket and shirt and poss tie with dark blue jeans-am thinking he will look like Jeremy Clarkson.

Smart dark jeans will probably look OK at an informal wedding.

But if you really don't want him to wear jeans say so.

Ew. I hate the jacket, tye and jeans combo. Ask him to wear trousers.

It's your big day, put your foot down and tell him no jeans, if he's a good mate he'll understand, if not, get a new best man lol (juz kidding)

i'd be more worried about his speech were I you.

in future , looking at the photos, people will think hes had an accident with his normal trousers and had to wear jeans. you could just ask for waist up shots if hes in the photos.
