Watching The Office (UK) makes me anxious!

Is it just me who starts to get paranoid when watching The Office that they might be a little bit like David Brent??

So much of what he feels is so horribly recognisable! In my time I have certainly felt insecure, keen to impress, jealous etc, had foot-in-mouth moments. I just hope I never came across as such a twerp!

I’m guessing / hoping that this is part of the genius of the show, because it pushes buttons like this.

I can hardly bear to watch, though!

Do you mean 'I' might be like David Brent?

I was listening to Ricky Gervais being interviewed last night, apparently he was based a lot on Homer Simpson

My brother can’t watch it, it makes him cringe to the point he gets pains in his bum. I LOVE it. Thé épisode where they have the staff training, oh my god 😂😂😂😂 thé vidéo with the burning money 🤣

Ive never worked in an office though so it’s pure entertainment for me.

I guess so. Although other people wouldn’t worry that ‘I’ am like Brent, they might feel that they themselves are like Brent though?

Sorry if the sentence is grammatically untidy 🤷‍♀️

Not sure about The Office, but there is stuff I find cringeworthy rather than funny. It is painful to watch.

Remember you can actually press the off button or switch channels at any time.

Off is normally the big red button at the top.
