I mean, the point of the game and the scoring criteria are pretty clear in football. Put the ball over the line. England did it three times as much as Aus. If you ain’t doing that then what are you doing 🤷‍♀️

Yes - I do realise that @WeetabixTowels . Having been watching football for over 60 years, I think I can comment that it was a closer match than the scoreline indicated. Makes no difference to anything though - just a passing thought on a chat forum, on what is a really exciting day for England!

Actually England well deserved the win. Just read the comments on the BBC website football section. It wasn't that close.

I watched it and believe we were the stronger team. The Matilda’s defence was very strong but I think the Lionesses were more all-rounders

I'm Irish, not into football in any way but I will be rooting for the girls on Sunday! Would just love to see them do it.

Up until todays match I'd have not agreed with you and felt they were quite jammy - but they were reallys solid today and played so so much better than I'm starting to feel hopeful.

I am raging I booked an escape room at 11-30 on sunday which means we'll be incommunicado for most of it :(
