Kids party help

I did NCT antenatal classes and we have a WhatsApp group, are always in touch and meet with and without the kids infrequently. Up until now we’ve all invited each other to the kids parties.

They all turn 4 this year and the party my little one is having is best kept at around 15-20 kids maximum.
There’s 7 of us and due to some of the group having second children there’s now 11 kids between us all.
I am very close to 3 of the women who I now class as good friends and we meet more often than the wider group. My little girl is also friends with these children. She doesn’t really know the others very well at all.

Am I unreasonable by not opening up the party invite to the full NCT group and only inviting the kids my daughter knows? I want her to be able to invite whoever she wants from nursery and not have to limit numbers of kids she actually plays with but will it be awkward if I don’t extend the invite to the full group and cause problems?

I wouldnt want to exclude people, but someone at some point will be the first to do this as there's no way every party forever will include these 11 kids. I'd personally rather only invite some when it's already been done to me because then I wouldn't have the guilt. People will come along here and say invite who you want, which is right, but as I'm a bit of an over thinker I wouldn't want to offend friends.

I agree with limiting it and not inviting the others. At some point it has to stop. You’re not going to be doing a whole class party in reception, plus these 11 kids which could well be 15 by next year, that’s just ridiculous especially when your DD only actually knows the kids from 3 families.
