To not see a line??

This is a test done 7 days before period is due as I have had cramping. I wear glasses as my eyesight isn’t great but a friend mentioned they could see a faint line but I can’t see one. Please can anyone have a second look ❤️

7 days before period.

Wait another week and then test

GretaGip · 16/08/2023 12:33

Can't see a line.

If your period doesn't come within a few, do another test.

Good luck with the result.

BertieBotts · 16/08/2023 12:36

Just wait if you want a clearer result. As others are saying, 7 days before expected period is too early to see a positive result even if you're pregnant. The embryo would have only just implanted and not started to produce hCG yet.

Thank you. This is where the line apparently is

OP- are these one step cheapy tests? I'd always follow up with a branded FRER is so.

I used one step for ages, but then had a false positive, a false negative after IVF and I was pregnant and also read about an entire dud batch!

Strangely though- when I looked at your 1st pic, I could see a very faint line, but when I looked again- couldn't see anything. I'd be more inclined to say its an evap line though given the dates though. I agree, re-test in a week, but also check with branded FRER's. Best of luck.

Can't see anything at all OP.
It's early to test. Wait another week and try again.

HeartShapedBox · 16/08/2023 13:01

I could clearly see a line before you posted the photo with the area marked, but I'd wait a few days and retest in case it doesn't come to anything, as it is really faint.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 16/08/2023 13:01

Can't see anything.

It is a cheap one yes!
thank you so much for your advice. Sorry it gave you so many falses!

The cheap tests are fine IMO but even a FRER won't pick up at only 7dpo.

I’m am roughly 10DPO and 7 days until period is due. I have a odd cycle

How are you determining ovulation date? Also 10dpo is still very early to get a positive test. Wait 48 hours and try again as this will give you a clearer idea, although 14/15 dpo is likely to be even better. 17 days is not an unusually long luteal phase 🙂

wavecatcher · 16/08/2023 13:31

I can see a line!

If you test with a first response you should see a more prominent line.

Good luck

Lackinginspiration1 · 16/08/2023 13:48

I never had an issues with the cheap tests - that does look like a faint line to me. Try again with first morning urine, and good luck!

Didimum · 16/08/2023 14:54

I do see a little something, but all you can do it wait unfortunately so there's little point in stressing over this one test.
