Singles Disco at the Pub

A pub in my area has announced it will be putting on a Singles Disco?

Would you go if you were single and how do you know people are single?

How would you run a Singles Disco too? They haven't said much about it?
Have you ever been to one? Curious?

These things used to be more popular long ago.

I have just been on a thread where the OP is having trouble with online dating and the awful people you can meet there.

I think going back to meeting people IRL again could be a good idea!

It's just a theme for a disco.

They aren't going to be interrogating people on their relationship status on the way in or guaranteeing people at the disco are single.

Presumably they think it might get some new people to visit their pub, buy drinks and make more money. Perhaps they think there is an untapped market of people who might not visit the pub usually but would if there was an event targeted at them.

I mean, it sounds truly awful to me but each to their own and some people will presumably enjoy it.

Good idea, make a change from online dating.
