Had it for 3 weeks, entire family have, tested negative for Covid. We’re in SE.

Started with cold symptoms, and now seems to be a long lasting hacking and very productive cough! It’s grim.

Anyone else have it? GP said it’s viral so need for Antibiotics which I understand.

Any tips for getting rid of it?

Oops GP said no need for antibiotics.

We've had the same, it was absolutely vile and I couldn't believe the amount of crap we were bringing up from our lungs! None of us felt too rough with it, just exhausted and sore from coughing.

Out of 6 of us, I was the only one who suddenly spiked a fever after 3.5 weeks and ended up with pneumonia. Antibiotics shifted it super quickly though and honestly my cough stopped before everyone else's. I just felt rough for a bit. Feel like I got the better deal all considered.

5 weeks on and everyone is grand now.

Oh my gosh that sounds awful! Good to hear everyone is better now. And yep I can’t believe the ‘stuff’ everyone is coughing up! I’ve never had a cough like it. There must be some sort of respiratory thing going round.

It wasn't the best! Sorry to not come with news of a quick cure, but I promise it does end!
In the meantime, hot showers in a steamy room or some expectorant meds can help loosen it in the mornings and get things shifting. It's absolutely grim.
