Just curious if anybody else's local Lidl all of a sudden has very short best before dates?
We do a shop at Lidl and either Tesco/Morrisons once a week. Three, maybe four weeks ago when at Lidl I noticed the store was doing a stock take
That day and every time since I've noticed the dates on most things we buy are now really short
For example, green lidded two pints of milk. There must have been thirty in the fridge, best before date the next day on every single one
Sausage rolls, coleslaw, 3-4 days. Today, the sliced bread was all best before this Monday. We've also noticed the quality of the fruit and veg is pretty poor
Next week we're just going to go to Tesco and then the week after just Morrisons or Sainsburys. I used to sing Lidl's praises but we're going to end up throwing food away with dates of only 2-3 days
