I’m supposed to be meeting a guy for a date in two hours but we’ve not had much contact today apart from a few short messages this morning and he hasn’t replied to my last text which I sent two hours ago and then I sent another asking if the time we had planned to meet is still ok. Aibu to think the date is off? I don’t want to message again or call and seem desperate

It sounds like you have already messaged plenty today Op and I’d absolutely leave it now. Had you not already confirmed a time?

painochocolate · 10/08/2023 15:45

Why have you asked him if the time to meet was still OK?

buzzlightyearsgloves · 10/08/2023 15:47

Leave it, don't message again. If he doesn't respond just block and move on

MintJulia · 10/08/2023 15:50

He's probably just in a meeting with his boss.

Or Asleep. Or in the bath.

Why would you assume it's off?

AnObserverInThisDarkWorld · 10/08/2023 15:53

Maybe he decided you were too much since you've messaged him so much and expect quick replies whilst he is presumably at work?

do you have a planned time and venue? then just go.

WhatADrabCarpet · 10/08/2023 16:02

I'd leave it be now.

Pinkdelight3 · 10/08/2023 16:03

Wait for the date and talk to him the. You don't need to be constantly in touch beforehand, it's too much. You've heard from him today and you know the time is okay because it's what's already been agreed. To assume it's off on this basis is bizarre.

10HailMarys · 10/08/2023 16:09

I think you’re being a bit intense about this. You don’t need to be messaging and texting all day before a date. You messaged this morning, so why are you messaging again now?!
