There were no age restricted products at all it was all veg and they asked my DD for proof of age multiple times, asking for something with her age on it such as a debit card, she has been accepting my orders while I’ve been out for 2 years and this is the first time. She is months away from being 18. I think it’s a ridiculous rule what about people who have their own tenancies at 16

YANBU Tesco are getting just as bad. I was asked for ID for a click and collect shop (no age restricted products) and I didn't have any as I just popped out to pick it up on a Saturday morning. I ended up opening my tesco app on my phone and showing them my clubcard. They told me they're doing it for all orders now.

It's actually a concern to me because I order online shops for service users in my job. I'm worried that these will start to be refused as they are ordered in my name and paid on my work credit card. I did message Tesco to ask what would happen in these circumstances and they wouldn't give me a straight answer and said they would forward concerns to the store manager. Haven't heard a penny from them since. Looks like I won't be able to use ASDA either!
