DH keeps yelling

Our children just got back from visiting grandparents, and I'm so happy they're back. But DH keeps snapping at them at raising his voice for typical kid things. Maybe it's because I missed them so much, but I think we should be enjoying them and there's no reason to be so strict the moment they arrive home.

Is there a reason you can’t tell him to pack it in? Are you wary of him?

I did tell him, but he disagreed with me and said his parents aren't strict with them, so they need it to get back into a routine. I even told him that our daughter said he's like a bomb. He just smiled.

What’s he snapping about? As a partner or child I’d hate this, it would be disastrous for our relationship.

Anytime one of the children cries, he snaps. Even if it's just from being disappointed during a game, or my six year old thinks his older brother tricked him during a conversation, them stopping while walking to pet a dog when we're going to the car, when one slips on the floor when my husband has already told them to take off their socks on the wood floors. They only got back yesterday.
