How long for ESTA approval?

Starting to panic!! We’re flying to the US tomorrow afternoon and I only just remembered that we all need ESTAs 🤦🏼‍♀️

Submitted applications online. Website says up to 72 hours to come through. We’ve got 24 hours…

DH and I have travelled to the US several times and never had an issue. Our young DC have never been to the US, so I’m worried that it will need extra time for a first application.

Any comfort please on your own recent ESTA timelines, especially for DC? Thank you 🙏

The second-hand stress from this thread was unreal! Have a lovely holiday OP, we don't go until January but off the back of this thread I'm tempted to do our ESTAs now just to make sure it's done!

Brilliant! I've been reading this morning and was feeling the stress for you. It's exactly the sort of thing I'd do, having organised every other tiny detail to the nth degree.

Your holiday will be all the sweeter for this horrible worry! Enjoy yourselves!

DreamingofTimbuktu2 · 06/08/2023 11:56

Brilliant news - if ever someone deserves a gin at the airport it’s you.

notimagain · 06/08/2023 11:57

Jesus that was stressful and I’m only reading about it! Have a brilliant time

Acourtof · 06/08/2023 11:57

Thank you. I’m crying again. Oh goodness that was so unbelievably stressful. So much hope and excitement and money to lose.

Thank you for your support and company!! I was really trying to keep my shit together and be calm and confident for my DH and DC and I needed the space here to unravel.

I really appreciate all of the positivity you’ve shown. I’ll be posting photos 😂
