Rent help needed

Hello, this is my first time posting and I hope someone can help. I had to leave my previous home due to a personal matter. I have been looking for a property with my child for over 1 year the council are not doing anything and I cannot find anything privately, I work and have a decent salary but it's still not high enough to rent.

Everyone requires credit checks and a guarantor, my credit isn't great and I do not have a guarantor so does that mean I have stay Bed and Breakfast forever? I have been to lots of viewings and all the criteria is the same private landlords, estate agents etc.

Does anyone know anywhere that will just accept my payslips and my employer confirming proof of work please etc?

What are the issues with your credit history?

Unless there are extenuating circumstances, that's probably going to be difficult to overcome. From a landlord's point of view, if you haven't always paid previous debts promptly and in full, you represent a big risk.

Were you in rented accommodation before, and would your landlord provide a good reference for you?

That is a shame because they are very old and not related to my current circumstances!

I was yes and can get this information. But they are all adamant that still will need guarantor etc!😢
