No criticism implied but the inclusion of Portuguese food must be a heritage choice. It's usually 10001 ways to cook salt cod (bacalhau) and potatoes. It's very wholesome, hearty and healthy, but I can't imagine craving it except for the comfort of home. I love Portugal and its history, people and landscapes, the coffee is great, but the food is not exciting.

Except for Bolsao Potes, which is to die for. I still can't pronounce it properly!

How authentic Chinese, as the old chinese joke is, You can tell the Christian God wasn't Chinese because the Snake wouldn't be alive to tell the tale and the apple would have been used as bait.

Some Chinese food (not western variants) is great but a lot of it is awful and why there is a shift towards a more western diet being the trend, its like the trend in Italy amogn the hipster youth to have an 'american' style pizza, which is a classic pizza with fries on top.

Yes. It took me a ridiculously libg time to answer this question and it was a bit sad as I realised that tapas would be iff the menu, as would all the wonderful French food I live and Jamaican. I need 10 really and even then, there would still be things I would miss I am sure. I cook many types of food.

I did not vote Frnch, but deliberated lots as I love French cheese, especially baked camembert, pâté, baguette, dauphinois potatoes, quiche, croissants, boeuf burgeoning, coq au vin, duck confit, bouillabaisse, salad niçoise, onion soup, lobster bisque, madeleines, éclairs, macarons. Actually, I need to rethink my list. I cannot cope with the loss of France.
