Gap year

My DD is taking a gap year and as part of it she is going to Thailand I am concerned as she mentioned in passing that she may take a beginners motor bike course the one day one in case she decides to hire a moped. She assured me it would be in the quiet roads not in the centre. Could anyone reassure me about this please

I'd be glad she's thinking of taking the course (albeit one day) rather than just jumping on one when she gets there (as I did, 20 years ago..)

She keeps telling me that but my anxiety is increasing. I suffer with anxiety at the best of times

I agree, it's good she's being cautious to begin with but no I wouldn't want my daughter doing this either as I think motorbikes / peds in general are dangerous - especially if you're not used to driving them. I guess you can't stop her doing it though?

Like anywhere some roads in Thailand are extremely busy, others are empty. Some are flat, some hilly etc.

You usually hire from a city centre and they will charge her a fortune if she damages it x
