My baby is just over 4 months old, and I think my husband is being reckless with him. He comes from a big family and has always been around kids but he is doing things with baby I would term reckless then gets mad at me because I don't trust his judgement in that moment.

He recently tried to balance the baby face down on the back of the couch with no support with baby's legs hanging off the back. Think like superman pose, baby not rolling over yet but can and often rolls to the side. He wanted to see how long baby could balance before slipping down.

AIBU to get angry at him for being reckless?.... Baby is 4 months....I'm of the mindset that you don't need to add risk to a baby. He's now mad at me because I don't trust him right now

You are a first time mother. Society tells you to be ultra cautious and will judge you if you aren’t. So your feelings are understandable both naturally and from programming.

If you have another couple of kids you will see he is right. Try to relax.
