I'm being very vague here deliberately:
I know a person that is very disrespectful towards me, they have stolen very personal items from me and done other things like entering my property.
I have been upset at their behaviour and they think I am being unreasonable, denied that they have acted in this way even when caught. This person knows that my things don't belong to them (I have asked are these things mine or yours and they have answered correctly). * *
Thing is, this person is autistic, but if these things were done to her, she would also be very upset and act accordingly.
In fact, I, myself have a neurological disability and this person is taking advantage over the fact that I am likely to forget things like lock my property and mislay things.
So: this person would be very upset and annoyed if these things were done to her but when she deliberately steals and enters my property illegally it's ok because she's autistic according to the people who are their family.
Does this person understand that it hurts me (I've told them so) because it would definitely hurt them and they would tell people so.
The person definitely understands right from wrong.
Thankyou.

How are they accessing your property?

You need to report this to the police they are breaking the law.

They live in the same building but my door is locked with a key, as in not a latch that shuts automatically and I sometimes leave it open by accident.

Then write them a letter listing the things that need to be returned in 48 hours otherwise you'll call the police and report them for theft.

And take more effort to lock your door! If you forget then put an alarm on the door that tells you to lock it or something!
