How much sleep does your child get

If they’re around 5?

My Dd used to do a solid 11-12 hours per night.
A couple of months before her 5 th birthday, she started waking earlier (obviously lighter in the mornings, but we even blacked the room out totally with blinds)
She now doesn’t sleep until later because of the lighter evenings, wouldn’t mind this in summer at all, as we’re abroad and it’s normal for kids to go to bed later, but they sleep in later. Now Dd isn’t falling asleep until gone 9 and waking at 6-6.30, Sne me et woke this early before, her average was 7.30-8.
She’s tired everyday and I’ve tried everything. Taking her to bed at 7, like I’m ringer is pointless, she just wants to play around for 2 hours. So now she’s getting 9-10 hours per night, is this enough?
I’m finding it tiring being up so early and then late to bed too, is this just a summer thing or does it change at 5 and this happens 🤷🏻‍♀️
She’s using up a lot of energy through the day…swimming, beach, dog walks, playground etc. She is a very energetic child though

I used to find it was a summer thing. If she's not going to sleep until it's dark and waking up shorty after it gets light then it makes sense. I had to get blackout blinds and even then it was hard because it would get too warm.
Mine would probably get the same amount of sleep as yours does at 5. The good thing is that at 5 they're old enough to entertain themselves in their room for an hour (usually) so we had a rule that at the weekend they would stay in their bed until we came in and said it was ok to get up.
