Tbh I Think shevoverplayed her hand when the mil was being moved and she sent back the message saying it wasn’t as bad as being widowed young and this being her babies’ home.

Yeah it was a bit far fetched I suppose. I couldn't understand why the op was constantly making excuses for the sil. Every updated post had me balking at the screen thinking wtf?! lol 🤣

I did respond to it, but I had my suspicions that it was fake. I didn't report it or say anything nasty about trolls though.

Why does anyone waste their time making them? What's the point? What do they get out of it?

I didn't think it was fake - so if it was I think it was pretty well done. And I got overinvested. I've been accused of making up a thread before when I hadn't though so I tend to give the benefit of the doubt.

I seen a thread on MN where someone was testing one of the web AI so I guess if you had a new AI AIBU would be a good marketing test demo??

That seems to mean the OP could have been legit but other posters piled on as sock puppets.

MN should have moved the thread to relationships or 30 day thread.

What was the potentially fantasy outcome of the thread? Did the SIL start calling him by the dead husband’s name?!

It was interesting to me as my H looks exactly like his brother, and my SIL can be a bit..odd with my one. 😂
