What doesn't give you the ick?

Thinking in terms of commonly held beliefs on MN about qualities they see as unattractive. Here's mine
1.) shorter men (5'7 is perfect)
2.) men who are happy with their lot, so going to work, doing a good job and coming home. Not un ambitious but just quietly happy with what they have achieved.
3.) kindness
4.) being quiet or shy

Someone who isn't tight.

Numbers 2, 3 and 4 don't give me the ick.

A man being shy can be unattractive if he's monosyllabic, but I'd prefer that to a bloke who was raucous and had a big group of "lad" mates (to clarify, there is a specific type of man im thinking of here and he would have red flag written all over him)

When younger, I wouldn't even really consider a short man (or anything under 6ft) but now I'd not be put off by a man 5'10 or above. I'm 5'7 and anything smaller than that is too short.

Short doesn't give me the ick either, never bothered me. I mean, my DP happens to be 6'2, but my ex is probably around 5'7/'8. Height has never been something I've factored in.

@eandz13 it's funny isn't it? Some women are so rigid about height, even women that are 5'2. I'm a pretty powerful woman in my own right, I don't need to have a 6" boyfriend to 'protect me' (and who's to say those under 5'8 wouldn't be able to anyway?)

I'm 6 feet tall and dh is 5 feet 8.

My DH is short, I thought it gave me the ick when we met but after a date I realised he's so much more than his height and was cross with myself for thinking that way. Sometimes on here people can be so horrible about short men. I know people are allowed to not find things attractive but I've seen some go over the top about how unmanly it is
