Ex losing the DC's things

AIBU for losing my shit completely with him today.

August last year I purchased 4 school polo shirts
3 sweatshirts
Lots of other school uniform

Along with this, several football kits and FIVE pairs of football socks. For football training. And I bought the boots.

Which is fair enough and he's not working. I am.

He's down to one set of uniform. And no football socks at my house.

His house is like a hoarders house. There is shit everywhere. He lives a good 30 min round trip from me.

Today I text him "are DC football socks at yours"

I got the reply back "no idea. I'm not at home, just go buy more"

This was 45 mins before training started.

Everything disappears into nowhere in his house. And because I don't want my DC to miss out. I replace it. Trying to get stuff back is like pulling teeth!

Dc is 12, so he's also had it off me today for also not remembering his shit. I had to drive the 30 min round trip to get the socks as I refused to buy yet more socks. And if I just said "you're not going until you remember your stuff" I also pay by direct debit for him to play for his team so I'd still be losing out on money (and peace and quiet!)

Sharing your pain! Mine does exactly the same.

I think it's a mixture of general uselessness, not giving a shit & avoiding responsibility for anything.

So utterly frustrating!
