Where are ppl buying good mattresses from nowadays? When we bought our last one we tried some out in John Lewis and other department stores. Don't like memory foam and want it to be pocket springs .

Got ours from one of the bed store chains that I can't recall the name of. I don't like memory foam either.

Apparently ikea also do reasonable mattresses for reasonable money.

We got ours from Dreams 7 years ago, it's an orthopaedic air pocket one (can't remember exact term but no springs and no memory foam) and it's like sleeping on a cloud with the support for your body too.

My DH is in bed and I'm up watching tv but I'll look on the mattress for the exact name tomorrow and report back if you want to look into it. Can highly recommend, it's still as comfy as the day we got it.

I got the John Lewis Classic No2 with pocket springs. I like it a lot.

We've always been a fan of Clair de Lune's mattresses for the Moses basket and then the crib (bamboo one), and I think they now have quite a few in from Obaby which we used for my daughter's cot bed. We've had no problems with it and it was very good quality.
