Neighbour banging on wall

My DD is 4 and she got a bit upset last night around 8pm before bed and she was crying. I was trying to calm her and get her to sleep. My neighbour started banging on the wall shouting shut up. The crying didn’t go on for long. Aibu to annoyed as I can always here her shouting at her children and doors slamming

Bang back when she makes noise. Game on!

YANBU. I’d suggest hammering back next time you hear her at it, but life is way too short. Just ignore the hypocrite as best you can.

Does your dc often get upset at bedtime? If it's a regular thing then I guess that may explain the banging.

Have you ever banged on the wall/complained about her kids?

I think you have to ignore it. Banging back or having a word with the neighbour will simply wind things up and you need peace in your life, as we all do. Try and let it wash by you. Someone who cannot grasp that children cry sometimes is not someone you can hold a reasonable discussion with.
