Will the RSPCA do anything?

A couple of houses down from me have got a dog, it’s an expensive breed, not sure what it is but the poor thing seems to live in their tiny, tatty garden! No shelter! No dog kennel! Nothing! It’s 1am and I’m listening to the dog whining and barking again probably because it’s pouring with rain.

Will the RSPCA pay them a visit if I anonymously report them?

I can’t confront them, they’re not the sort of people you would want to confront and I don’t think it will make any difference so if I then report them they will know it was me.

Yes! Please report them. That poor dog 😥 People are just horrible and don't deserve dogs.

You need to contact your council and make a noise complaint. RSPCA won’t do anything.

RSPCA might if it doesn't have shelter but they can be rubbish. Generally councils are better if you make repeated noise complaints.

Please report to RSPCA every time this happens and write to your MP if they do nothing.

well, the RSPCA aren't always very 'on it' but if you don't tell them then they definitely won't do anything. So nothing to lose. If you report it anonymously then surely it could be anyone in the neighbourhood.

Unlikely if you live anywhere near me (general Liverpool+ area). They won't get involved unless evidence is provided that animals are actively dying from neglect. Then they might (repeat 'might') swoop in so they can they use the animal for social media posts asking for donations. It's been a very long time since the RSPCA were actually helpful. Noise complaints will be disregarded.
