whats Your deal on Theme Park etiquette? Do you partially spilt if a child needs the loo and the rest of family go to queue/continue to queue for a ride (this is a theme park generally aimed at the younger end of the children spectrum) or do you all go to the toilet and then join back of queue again?

Partially splitting is fine... maybe a slight acknowledging glance to the person behind as a courtesy.

What you don't do is the opposite... have someone join the line on your behalf, then bring in 20 family members because 'the space was saved'.

I’d just split, take child to toilet then rejoin queue again. That’s totally different to saving a space for others, you were in the line already.

BrutusMcDogface · 29/07/2023 20:11

I would split but would tell the person behind me before I went.

Thanks we’ve never saved spots for anyone, we always split 1A with DC who needed the loo if in the queue. First time ever yesterday we got a nasty response from a lady of the elder generation about queue jumping, bearing in mind we are at a theme park geared for younger children and they had neither children or GC with them (could have been elsewhere in the park I suppose) I told her to give it a rest (politely) hence my WIBU? We’ve been to this theme park at least 15 times never had anything like it😂

aside from your need to mention her age, it's fine. It is better to say generally, to the people behind you before you go what you're doing, and then "we're back, thanks" when you return is fine
