I'm wondering if I'm BU here. My husband is working away for a week abroad Monday to Friday I should add. I am using a weeks annual leave to cover childcare that week as my work starts at 5am so I've no other options.

However I am wondering if I'm BU when I opened our shared calendar today to see he's booked himself in to do a race on the Saturday morning as-well meaning he's now gone until Saturday afternoon. We are heading out the Saturday night and this has peeved me off a bit as the race means he will have an early start the Saturday morning and be tired come the evening (we don't get out a lot) and second of all I'd like to get my hair done before we head out so was hoping to book in around lunch time but he won't be back until 4pm and the salon closes at 5pm. I could get the 4pm appointment but I hate this as I always feel it's a bit rushed due to the fact the stylists are trying to finish up quickly to get home. Aibu here

Did he not speak to you about it first? I think thats bloody unreasonable

YANBU. He sounds very selfish.

YANBU at all, he should have at least discussed this with you. It’s a classic case of (often) the Dad (or partner) feeling as though they can book things in for themselves spontaneously whilst the Mum needs to ask for any little bit of me time.
