Quick history: first molar has a big filling in. When I get a cold/sinusitis the tooth plays up. It’s been checked many times, X-rays always ok and it passes.
Last week started with cold and sinus pain on one side followed by toothache in upper teeth. Also some sensitivity to hot and cold which has happened previously too. GP was happy to give me antibiotics after I’d tried steam inhalation and nasal washes.
Went to dentist for a scheduled check up on Monday, asked her to check the upper teeth, thinking she’d X-ray. Said she wouldn’t X-ray as no real need to, the picture was one of sinusitis. I explained I was in a bit of pain and had sensitivity. She did a cold test, the tooth with the big filling and molar next to it didn’t have instant reactions, again this had happened before. She said she was happy with the reactions.
I’ve got 2 days of antibiotics left. Sinuses still feel rubbish and teeth still painful. Im
a crap dental patient and have visions of myself having the molar out week before we go on holiday.
Any words of wisdom?! Thanks.
