I've asked to buy three things from Facebook marketplace and had no response from anyone ! The items are still showing as available. Why ??!

It could be that your message has gone into their Message Requests inbox which don't necessarily notify you, so they don't know you've messaged them.
Or they could just be idiots who can't be bothered to answer.
To be fair - I've put things up on FB Marketplace & then been bombarded with ridiculous messages asking for a price reduction or can you deliver etc when it's explicitly said collection only - I don't always respond to those as I just think they're taking the piss & can't be arsed spending my time & mental energy dealing with them.
And its equally frustrating to reply to someone asking if its available & when you say yes, you never hear from them again.

The message has been read so it's a bit odd! I agree it's frustrating when people ask if things are available and you never hear again.

I could understand if it was one item but it's happened with three separate sellers.

Have you been asking for a price discount or delivery?

Cheesusisgrate · 26/07/2023 10:09

I advertised tv and got 138 messages.... It's possible you weren't first and they didn't mark it as pending rather just left it as available until the one before you picks it up

Absolutely not !

I find marketplace so annoying.

Also you get automated messages from people who aren't actually interested in the thing you're selling which I didn't realise at first. I got a message from my friend asking 'is this still available?' I responded yes, and then she whatsapped me asking why I'd messaged her about it! Bloody annoying.

So maybe change the wording so it doesn't look automated.

But yes, on the whole, it's not the best.

They could be away on holiday (with limited wi-fi)?
