Travel spam - lighthearted

I booked a flight with Ryanair last week to travel from Dublin to England this Saturday (28th July). I was given the choice when booking to buy insurance, pick a hotel, pick a car rental, fast track security etc...which is fair enough.
I live near the airport so will get a lift, I am being picked up on the other side by a family member who I will be staying with. So far, I have had an email every day from them. And they have the booking ref in the title so you do check it just in case it's important...
Book a Private Transfer! What to do in {City}! Fast Track Security! Book a hotel!

FFS, I just want to get on a plane to go visit my DS, not be spammed continuously by Ryanair under the guise of making sure I'm not an idiot who hasn't thought of these things already..

Anyway, aibu to have a little bit of rage at this???

I said you are unreasonable as you really should have selected the option to tell them not to spam you. After all, you know Ryanair are the pits and would try to sell you air if they thought they could get away with it.

I hate booking with ryanair as I'm always afraid I will do something wrong and end up in the wrong country or have booked for my dead grandmother or something.

YABU - because I was really hoping this was a recipe thread for spam (e.g. when camping)

I had this. I used Ryanair to go from the UK to Dublin for the day, in November, for work.

Amongst everything else (hotel, parking, hold lugagge, etc etc) they tried to sell me suncream Grin

Hmmm. I was fairly sure to unselect those sorts of things

You probably deselected "Are you sure you don't want us to not send you marketing emails" instead of "I don't want you to not remove the option to send marketing emails".

All perfectly clear and simple really...

😂

He even covered T&Cs that none of us ever read, that someone on here was being berated for the other day over an issue with Tesco online shopping.
