I have a severe sick phobia. We’re away at our caravan and my son has been sick… twice so far. I’ve handled it ok so far, but the panic is setting in. I want to run away. I have 2 other DC here with me. Youngest is a toddler.
I want to die

Open the windows and do some mindfulness. The rainbow technique is great - go through the colours of the rainbow and look for all the things you can see. Breathe deeply and slowly whilst you're looking for every red thing you can see, then orange, etc.

This will calm you and distract your mind.

Try repeating some calming sentences to yourself, like “I’ve done this before and we were ok” “This will pass” , and do some breathing techniques like OldTinHat suggested. Tracing your fingers and breathing in through your nose as you go up a finger, and out through your mouth as you go down often works for me.
Try and visualise some happy thoughts and memories?
good luck. It really will pass

I want to scream, lash out! I feel like a caged animal, trapped

What if I get ill? Who will look after everyone else?!

You. Sadly.

Veteran of synchronised vomitting.

My recommendation is to get some disinfectant or strong smelling cleaner to help with the smell..

I’ve bleached the bathroom. Bleach is the only thing that kills the virus
