Tinder emails in his junk box

Have seen Tinder emails in Dh’s junk email..basically saying his email
address and that he’s been matched and to click to find out who with.
There are many other types of dodgy emails in his junk, trying to get money etc, that lots of us probably get. Are these Tinder ones random ones too or does it mean he has signed up with Tinder?

You have to open them and look at the address it's been sent from. I get fake nails from all sorts and I've never been on Tinder.

It’s hard to say but if they use his name then it is most likely he has signed up.

I've long since deleted tinder and get them. Most dating apps send them out trying to entice ex members back. They're in his spam so think nothing of it. If they were in his inbox then worry.

I get loads of stuff like Tinder, dating sites and such in my junk emails. Never ever signed up for anything.

I've not been on tinder for over 8 years, and I get them too. My old account is definitely deleted.

They don’t address him by name, only Dear…’Email name’

Rubbish, lots of phishing emails use people's name.

I get them in my spam and I haven't got a tinder account.

I also apparently have hot Russian girls waiting for me, and my prime account has expired

I'd say 100 percent scam emails they will be trying to get passwords.

I also get them, never had a Tinder account. It's spam/a scam, that's why it's gone in his junk folder

I just checked my junk folder. Three tinder emails. Never been on it, but I wouldn't have known they were there as I don't look in that folder.

Yup, tons in my spam folder.

I have also had someone use my email address to sign up to bingo/betting sites (i go and close the accounts on those where I can).

Lots of reasons why someone might have dodgy looking emails in their junk/spam/bin folder without them having done anything.

Sounds like a phishing scam given so many have got them.

OP check the email they're from, I bet it's not the official tinder email address.

If you click on the sender, ie "Tinder" it will give a completely unrelated address if it isn't Tinder. Like [email protected] is very unlikely to be Tinder in disguise

I have these in my junk folder right now. Commented to DH 'oooh I've got a tinder match apparently' and laughed.

Never been on Tinder in my life. Couldn't think of anything worse - I don't have the energy for that!

If they’re to his email address, don’t worry. If they address him by name in the email, then worry.
