DH has just put the dishwasher on a long cycle in the middle of the day 😡 I have all of his family coming shortly for a meal to celebrate his birthday.

surely everyone knows that during the day it’s a short cycle and overnight it’s a long cycle.

now I have to wait 3 bastard hours for it to finish with the pots building up.

of course slightly lighthearted but what does give you the rage?

DH trying to tell me he needed to drive
15 miles to the garage to book said car
in "to explain the issues" and looking dejected when I question why he can't
discuss this over the phone?

this is fair enough tbh. I used to own a garage and we would always tell customers they’d need to bring the car in so we could look at it,
we would never attempt to diagnose a fault over the phone.

The constant moaning about dogs on here.

When people who have the luxury of not having to work to support themselves come on MN and accuse working mums of “farming out” their children by using childcare to enable them to work to support their families.

If someone ever said it to my face I would struggle to restrain myself from being very abusive. But of course no one has the balls to actually say it, it’s all from the comfort of a keyboard.

My sister gave me the cold shoulder when I said I said I would have to work to support my then 10 month old baby. Told me I should never have had him if I was going to 'palm him off'. She lived quite happily on her benefits.

Daughter of a friend, had an amazing wedding day, posted about it on Facebook then wrote 'we're going away now to process the day..' why do people speak in such a wanky way these days? 'Process the day' my arse, you're going on honeymoon and you don't need to 'process' anything.

🤣That is awful.

Coffeetree · 22/07/2023 15:12

So true about videoing vulnerable people, like homeless people or kids or people having a breakdown in public. I think with time the law will develop around this, it's so exploitative.

midlifecrash · 22/07/2023 15:18

“This bizarre belief that liking decent food is middle class” - SAY IT LOUD

Bazinga007 · 22/07/2023 15:19

Dogs in playgrounds, people speaking on their phones like they do on the apprentice and women with cocks.

The constant moaning about dogs on here.

I think it is more the owners’ they moan about!

fetchacloth · 22/07/2023 15:25

Relentless rain 🌧 🙄

Ahhh no.

Long cycles here during the day to make the most of solar.

You see I am far more enraged by people who try to police the way other people feel and speak than I am be people who dare to use a bit of creativity or veer in any way outside normality in their language. “Process” isn’t especially wanky…. It’s a fairly normal part of the vernacular.

TBH if I’d just had a huge, exhausting and expensive wedding I might want some time to “process” it too!

No, sorry, I'm still enraged! I never had to process my wedding day. I enjoyed it, then got on with my life. Each to their own I suppose.

spiderlight · 22/07/2023 15:29

Coathangers. Just behave. You do not have to cling onto seven other coathangers and drag them all out of the wardrobe with you.

Mumtothreegirlies · 22/07/2023 15:32

Not having a dishwasher and having to spend at least an hour a day stood at the sink 😅

What a brass neck.

People who lack the imagination to understand some of us have to support our own children can seriously go and fuck themselves. I’m so over reading this sort of shit on here.

Growlybear83 · 22/07/2023 15:34

The use of the term 'the rage'. What is wrong with being irritated, angry, furious etc?

Coffeetree · 22/07/2023 15:35

Flakey yoga teachers. Had the absolute worst class this week with a teacher who clearly hadn't planned a thing, started with head stands, got some advanced students to demonstrate some partner yoga moves and I thought we were all going to try but... no? Just a long random demo in the middle of class? I stopped paying attention and just did some stretches and she looked pissed.

Willyoujustbequiet · 22/07/2023 15:37

Deadbeat dads that don't pay child support

Manzana · 22/07/2023 15:40

litter, everywhere

Sweetashunni · 22/07/2023 15:41

Love this thread! I feel deliciously ragey just reading some of your posts!

For me it’s people who insist on only giving presents if they can watch the person opening it. MIL does this, she physically won’t hand a gift over unless you’re willing to open it there and then so she can lap up the praise and attention. It’s so cringe!

DustyLee123 · 22/07/2023 15:43

People in the supermarket who finish paying, then push their trolley to the exit, and stop to put their purse/wallet away and find their phone/keys while a queue forms behind them. Just go out side and do it !

SauronsArsehole · 22/07/2023 15:48

My teenager. Since exams finished I’ve not had any time away from any kids at all since I work with kids.
teen is always home. Doesn’t go out. Doesn’t do anything except moan.
wont take much needed adhd meds that make behaviour more manageable because it’s ‘for school’ and makes them feel funny when they drink coffee.
I’ve hidden the coffee and caffiene based drinks and now I’m an evil heathen for it.

take your damn meds so my brain isn’t overhwelmed with your jibber 🤬

Jongleterre · 22/07/2023 15:48

The worship of z lister celebrities, especially by younger people who parents don't seem to care that their teenagers are influenced by the Kardashians or Love Island etc.

Damnedidont · 22/07/2023 15:49

Litter. I think littering and fly tipping should carry the death penalty!

floodywell · 22/07/2023 15:50

Brexit
Yet more fucking rain
People who scroll endlessly on their mobile phones to show you a photo you don't particularly want to see
Thinking about lockdown and the people who were in favour of it
Student children eating all the cheese then getting pissed off with me for there being no cheese left, when I didn't sodding know that someone has eaten it all, and because I am obviously the only one who has legs and can walk to the corner shop.

Admittedly, I'm in a really foul mood because it's pissing it down YET AGAIN.
