DH has just put the dishwasher on a long cycle in the middle of the day 😡 I have all of his family coming shortly for a meal to celebrate his birthday.

surely everyone knows that during the day it’s a short cycle and overnight it’s a long cycle.

now I have to wait 3 bastard hours for it to finish with the pots building up.

of course slightly lighthearted but what does give you the rage?

That sounds like utter hell OP!

It is. No one else behaves like it on our street. We have HMOs with students in and bar one house a few years back have never had issues with them. One of the girls this year was in tears to me as she couldn't sleep and was finding studying hard as she couldn't concentrate. She said it was pointless paying so much rent as she spent most of her time at the library.
They stopped at 4am. I'm trying to sort out a huge, life changing deal at the moment, need to concentrate but when I've had barely any sleep again it's difficult.

But yes, moving soon. Thank god.

Every time I walk into a supermarket or convenience store, there is always a member of staff with a large trolley stacking shelves/ fridge exactly where I want to get something from and the member of staff can clearly see I’m there waiting but makes no effort to move over so that I can pick what I need.

This ... ^ I find some supermarket staff so unbelievably rude and obnoxious and arrogant ... obviously quite a lot of them are quite pleasant and friendly but there's some right miserable curmudgeons.

I think the dot com ones collecting for people who've ordered online are the worst - and definitely the ones working Tesco are the worst of them! Think nothing or running into you, getting in your way, and sighing and rolling their eyes when you are 'in their way.'

I also find the Tesco staff in general the most grumpy curmudgeons as well. I don't think I've ever seen a Tesco worker smile .... I think I've been in there about 5 times in the last 2 years ... and that's just been for something small on the way home from somewhere... I can't stand the place ... it's overpriced as well.

Also the little shampoo/conditioner/shower gels in hotels. Very hard to read what they are, especially mid shower.

Cyclists who insist on cycling slowly up the incredibly winding (and so difficult to overtake) country road despite the council having widened the road to include a purpose built cycle track. Runs adjacent to the road so same incline and route but so many seem to be allergic to using it.

I can't post what I think about MAMILs or I'd be banned from here. Angry

Resetting my (‘unrecognised’) password only to be told I cannot use a previous password. What you mean the one I was just trying to log in with that you said you didn’t recognise

Yes, exactly this!

Glidingswan · 24/07/2023 10:43

picking up my medication at the doctors pharmacy. I stand there, no queue, 3 people on the other side of the counter. Not even an acknowledgment, smile, zero, Im invisible until someone decides to eventually swan over 😖 changed pharmacy!

Being told I'm part of the problem because I have 3 bull breed dogs. Never mind I took all 3 to training. That the youngest (and biggest) lays down and waits until a dog/human interacts with him before sitting and enjoying a fuss or playing.

I know there are issues with XL Bully's currently, but mine are not XL and I am not a drug dealer wanting to look 'hard'. I'm a financial adviser who has replaced my grown nest flying children with dogs.

Mind you people in general these days seem to be judgemental arseholes.

This, it’s ALWAYS the sensible owners that get flack

I’ve giant breeds myself and I train them daily for their mental health and mine from the pups to adults we do training daily.

I feel we are not a nation of dog lovers just judgemental twats wanting to have a go.

I find this too. At the GP pharmacy AND the local Boots. Between 4 and 8 of them behind the counter, and not a single acknowledgement. I have waited up to 5 or 6 minutes before someone acknowledges me...

I have also been waiting at BOOTS counter before (not the pharmacy) to pay for something - and I am standing there for 5-6 minutes and no-one comes to me. The pharmacy staff are doing fuck-all and just stare at me. Confused

I have had to go away and get a member of staff stacking shelves and ask them to serve me. 'Is no-one at the counter?' she asks in an annoyed tone? Yeah there's ten people waiting to serve me but I thought I'd fuck off halfway around the shop to find some bird stacking the shelves with bottles of shampoo for shits and fucking giggles. Hmm

Honestly, customer service is fucking shocking in some stores these days!

Pugdogmom · 24/07/2023 11:10

Thought of another two. Makeup with those shitty cellophane on them and security stuff that takes a degree in engineering to open the packaging. How do people with disabilities manage?
And my one for the day. This " I did a thing". Where did this arsehole phrase come from. Actually makes me feel quite violent when I hear it...🤬

Constant yapping on mobile phones nearby to others

In a supermarket or on a train

Send a text or quickly call

littlebopeepp234 · 24/07/2023 11:28

Another one… when supermarkets reduce the price of certain food items but then stick a massive barcode over the cooking instructions so you cannot see how long something should be in the microwave for

Glidingswan · 24/07/2023 12:20

I do a lot of walking, pavements, a few people walking on the opposite side coming towards me don’t move over, don’t know if they’re oblivious or hope I’ll vanish, no room to move forward, i just stop dead now, I have on occasion just carried on, still didn’t move!... at the park.. long extending dog leads right across the path I’m on..don’t think to pull the lead in… no manners..I’ll walk all round you then shall I..

This is such a bugbear of mine. Extended leads across the path so I can't get past. Owner usually looking at their phone and not paying attention. So annoying. Especially as I usually have a child on a scooter with me. Also pavement parkers, groups of chatty people and people making trips into their house with the car doors wide open across the pavement. Get out of the way!!
Particularly bad on morning school runs if it's bin day because all the bins are on pavement too!

chaosmaker · 24/07/2023 13:20

People blocking the road to stop and have a pointless chat with someone. Usually there is a parking space they can pull into. Then they wave out of the car when you beep at them. Also think driving licences should only be available at 35+ or something to keep traffic down.

And why is 35 the best time to start driving?

People making illogical, daft statements is another one 🙄

Coastalcreeksider · 24/07/2023 14:18

People who dog-ear the corners of pages in library books and also those who correct something like a typo or put a question mark and underline a bit of text to show how clever they are!!

Leave the books alone you bloody vandals!

Mydietstartstomorrow · 24/07/2023 15:17

Weather forecasts. In this day and age of technology can they not bloody well get it right, seriously?!

parents who put there child’s pushchair front wheels off the curb into the road waiting to cross. FFS.

women driving trucks. Was SUV’s and now it’s these Ford ranger /Nissan Navarro. C’mon, there’s no need unless you work on a farm!

By the same token, why 17? Drivers generally give me the rage. Not indicating or indicating wrongly. Inability to stay in lane. Middle/fast lane hogging. Inability to regulate or maintain speed. Driving while using mobile phone. Too many cars per house - some with more than drivers in the house they belong to. Driving with the stench of weed coming out of their car.

Iamtheonwandlonely · 24/07/2023 16:59

People who don't order enough food and try rob everyone else's.
I'll stab you with my fork.

Because at 17, generally, people start leaving home, having jobs, have more responsibilities. At 35 is way too late. The things you listed aren’t age specific and are just dickhead specific.

SouthCountryGirl · 24/07/2023 18:17

When someone is trying to arrange a visit me to sort my flat out and gets arsey because I dare to have other things I need to be getting in with.

The only women I know who drive these are farmers or own equestrian centres, or are pest controllers.🤣

Agree as well as people who order or have more than you do and want some of yours.

If you wanted it, you should have ordered it or asked if I wouldn’t mind sharing, don’t ask after I’ve gotten what I ordered and haven’t even eaten a bite of it.
