DH has just put the dishwasher on a long cycle in the middle of the day 😡 I have all of his family coming shortly for a meal to celebrate his birthday.

surely everyone knows that during the day it’s a short cycle and overnight it’s a long cycle.

now I have to wait 3 bastard hours for it to finish with the pots building up.

of course slightly lighthearted but what does give you the rage?

But why would a 35 yr old shave their minge? I did it once for a laugh as a student when I was drunk, and I never repeated it.

PMSL is this a serious question? 😂

When you settle down in a cafe for a nice coffee and really noisy folk come in.

I know someone who was living in Spain at the time of the vote, but they and their family all voted Brexit.

They've still got friends over there and are annoyed that they will now need a Carta de Invitation in order to stay with those friends, because it's awkward and costs money to get one.

Well you voted to make it awkward and expensive so shut up about it!

This one!

Hey Turkey, you do know you fucking voted for Christmas?!

glittereyelash · 22/07/2023 19:12

My husband always hoovers before he cleans down the kitchen counters making it totally pointless. Also people who have conversations in doorways or right after they get off an escalater drives me mad.

Thepeopleversuswork · 22/07/2023 19:17

@PurpleButterflyWings

It's not the fault of women with husbands/partners that YOU don't have a partner and you HAVE to work to keep yourself. Not fair for people to be rude and obnoxious to stay at home mums who fortunate enough to be able to stay at home, just because YOU can't. Bitterness is not a good look.

Show me where I've been rude and obnoxious to stay at home mums. I went out of my way on another post here to say that SAHMs get a bad press on here which I feel is undeserved.

Neither am I bitter. I've raised my child on my own and am entirely in charge of my own destiny. I'm very comfortable with the way my life has panned out: much more so than I would have been if I'd stayed in an abusive marriage. Opposition to a position does not automatically equal bitterness and this is a bit of a cheap argument.

But it's simply rude, offensive and ignorant to tell a woman who has no alternative but to work that she is "farming out" her children. I see it here all the time and it needs to be called out.

Yes it is! Why wouldn't it be? A bit of a trim to keep things neat, maybe - but full-on shaving? Just ... why?

Mixedberrygenderfluidmuffin · 22/07/2023 19:20

Parents doing three point turns in the very narrow road to our village primary school and reversing onto the pavement where all the kids are walking to school.

Because it makes me feel fresh and clean and less sweaty down there, and therefore less itchy. A trim will grow back in no time and I can’t be bothered to be doing it every week.

Insert conclusion.

Yes, feck off, you're not Charlotte Bronte.

People and summer

Dullardmullard · 22/07/2023 19:29

The police and how they conduct themselves in interviews with vulnerable adults not following the rules and getting abusive when pointed out to them

the courts again not actually understanding vulnerable adults in fact not giving a flying fuck.

the above not realising not all autistic people are either non verbal or high functioning they can be in between and mask a lot more than you damn well think whilst having a job that they are watched over for and no they are not a little bit either ffs

People and summer

I'd supplement this with People not wearung deoderant or tops in Summer
I do not want to see your chest, back, belly or armpits in a shop or on a bus . Fine on a beach, a swimming pool or in your garden. Not in Tesco or the number 47 bus
I do not want to get a waft of your armpits either

Thundercats77 · 22/07/2023 19:38

Oh a couplepmore. People who get their payment cards out at the entry exit barriers of train stations.

People who ask for ideas or advice and then once given advice or idea claim it as if they thought it up. (don't bother giving that person advice now).

Unsolicited advice.

People who try and get on the train before you get off.

Similar with buses too

Staygoldponyboystaygold · 22/07/2023 19:47

@AnnaNims is that why it happens?! I didn’t realise! I have to go to the garage every 20 minutes to untangle the ball of bedding and set it going again. I’m so glad I now know. Next time I get a tumble dryer I need to get one that goes both ways.

I'm always wary of people who dislike cats.

We cat people despise you ignorant cat-haters! You are the one missing out with your ridiculous unfounded prejudice.

And people who say "try and" when they mean "try to". Gah.

People who try to assert their grammatical superiority but fail spectacularly:

Is it grammatically correct to say try and?
Many writers question their natural inclination to use "try and" instead of "try to." In fact, both versions are acceptable, but "try to" is definitely the better option for a formal document. The phrase "try and" is a colloquialism (a familiar expression used mostly in informal speech).

Slow walkers who take up the whole fucking pavement!!

If you're going to walk 3 abreast at snails pace then MOVE THE FUCK OVER!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Don't get me started. I was walking down the pavement this morning. A group ahead. Two parents, one buggy, one child on scooter. No attempt to move or compromise, so I said "shall I just walk in the gutter then?" Rude baskits.

DustyLee123 · 22/07/2023 17:37

This. So that I have to then walk in the road so that they can continue their conversation two a breast 😡

Ha! Once I said to the offenders (four of them filling a wide pavement walking abreast) could you not just go single file to pass? And they said- we are single file! 😂😂😂🤔🙄

chrystlha · 22/07/2023 20:01

People who pick up their dog's poo and then leave the bag down in the street quite often next to a "good owners bin it" sign.
