Dd12 wants to go to a fair and reckons her friends are staying until 9
im not happy about this as feel it’s late so iv said the only way she can is if I’m down there walking dogs ans wishing 5 mins walk and I drop off. Is this fair or?

At age 12, I had to be home before the street lights came on or by 9pm. That was in my local area though.

I should also ask what you mean by 'safe'? If you mean will some deviant snatch her, then statistically you are at no greater risk of this happening than in 1900. The only increase is because the population has increased and so by default have occurrences. Per capita they haven't really changed. Even then, the deviant concerned in such instances is usually someone know to the family unfortunately.

I was the same as you OP. There’s lots of alcohol and young arseholes at these places. I always took my daughter and her friends at that age and just stood back keeping an eye over them, I absolutely trusted the girls but I’ve heard of people being jumped and being battered. Not on my watch!

Yeah me too! She really wants to go and I want her to do these things but just feel I need to be very nearby
she hates it but I know what happens at the fair from my day!
